Verena Castle
Artistry

Verena Castle was a talented and creative artist. As you can see from her school work on an earlier page, she excelled at design from a young age. Verena learned to paint china at the Limoges plant in Lausanne, where some of her designs made it into the mainstream.

Verena won an art scholarship to the University of Mexico in Mexico City, but being enamored with the night life in Hollywood, chose instead to enroll at UCLA as an art student.

She became a member of a student international art club, which became widely known as a collection of beautiful young women of marriage age. One by one the young ladies found happiness, and Verena met her husband to be the same way.

Subsequently Verena turned her artistic expressiveness to fashion design. She was well known in Hollywood, working with such giants as Marjorie Wahl and Michael Novarese. Some of her clients included the Foys, Lyle Waggoner's family, Marjorie Garretson and Alex Studor, and many of Brentwood and Beverly Hills' society mavens.

When her son entered elementary school, Verena contributed her artistic talents in his direction, making him stand out in his chosen pursuits. As a Woodcraft Ranger she designed a shield and a record book that eventually landed him on television, on the Art Linkletter show.

Later when she went into the real estate business, Verena designed all of her own promotional material, including the castle you see on the Home Page, which became her business logo for Castle Realty.

Upon retirement, Verena resumed several hobbies like geology (rock-hounding), jewelry making, stained glass, oils and watercolors, and ceramics.
